NOAA Open Data Dissemination hosted a Town Hall at the 2022 and 2023 American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting. There, Panelists from NOAA Open Data Dissemination, NC State, and Industry met to discuss new advancements in making NOAA environmental data publicly available on the cloud.

History of NODD

NODD recently published a paper in the American Geophysical Union's book Big Data Analytics in Earth, Atmospheric, and Ocean Sciences detailing this history of open data dissemination at NOAA on the cloud. Beginning as a research to operations program, NODD has expanded from its beginings as the NOAA Big Data Program.
